What We Are Doing

Children Welfare Home attends to the welfare of children in Nepal who are orphaned, abandoned, or not supported by their parents. Our organization provides for the children’s basic needs of food, shelter, and clothing, as well as schooling and health care, and administers to their emotional needs with love and compassion, allowing them to grow up in a nurturing environment. Our mission is not just to rescue children from abject poverty, but to enable the children to develop and realize their potentials.

FAQ

When was our organization started?

The children Welfare Home organization was established by Mr.Jaya Ram Tamata, Mrs Maya tamata in 1995. The main aim was to provide a place where street children, orphans and abandoned children could come to somewhere they could find food, shelter,security, education and general “life-skills”. Children are accepted from all backgrounds.

The Children Welfare Home was established in 16th February, 1995 with the aim of providing orphans, homeless and underprivileged children education, healthcare, nourishment, residence, and a sense of family and belonging.

The children welfare Home receives no financial support from the government and is not affiliated with any political organization. Instead, it relies on the charity and private donations for its maintenance and development.

At present there are 50 children at the Children Welfare Home. They are studying from Nursery to Grade 12.
